I do not think God needs our supplication and pleading to help someone otherwise we are just humanising God. I understand the main purpose of prayers Is for our individual spiritual transformation and connection with our love object and not presenting a list of desires for action by God. When we are physically sick the best thing to do is primarily to go to a competent physician as any issues of physical nature is a matter for the science to address. For thousands of years people were dying of all kinds of diseases such as infections despite of many prayers being offered and Baha’u’llah advocates getting help from a competent physician when we are physically sick.

Could this be a sign that prayer and meditation (with or without medication) really works? I know him and I know how an spiritual person he is.
