Although I must say, your article sort of takes the thrill out of reading a romance novel, even a historical one. But that’s okay. I’ll take it. As a widow, I often think back on the 42 years I had with my husband. I had to laugh out loud over your mention of problems with children and various medical problems that do arise over time. We are tricked, I think, into thinking when we’re young that the thrill of new love will last. It doesn’t, but it can evolve into something more stable over time.
